Hello & Welcome.
I am here in particular because our military/veterans will always be a priority to me. I am a (veteran) military spouse. My husband served in the USMC and is now a veteran, after OIE & OEF deployments. As a partner, I was with him from bootcamp all the way through getting his DD214. I certainly cannot say I know what he or any military member or veteran experienced, but I experienced my own part, and saw him and many of his brothers experience a variety of things within that time, and furthermore since moving on to the civilian world. This is the care, and compassion that I like to bring in to sessions particularly with this community. If you are trying to understand why things keep happening, how to break a vicious cycle in your life, or you are just feeling stuck and need to feel heard and help with moving forward– I can help.
I help many people who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, family issues, and career/ work related issues move forward and find relief from their symptoms through EMDR. Many people come to me and tell me about the exhaustion they feel, the low motivation, the constant fatigue, the headaches, the stress on their mind and body, the constant thinking and worrying, and how they are sick and tired, of being sick and tired. I help people understand where these stressors, emotions, and sensations might be coming from and use an evidence based practice, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and solid therapeutic work to help alleviate these symptoms, and change the way we think about things, feel about things and react to things to make life easier and better. I know how daunting it can be to talk to someone about some of the most vulnerable and difficult things in our lives, but I can help you through this and you do not have to do this on your own. In my office, I provide safety, warmth, and compassion as I walk with you on your journey of growth.
